Well, this month's plein air meeting was quite literally a bit of a washout. We met at the Trident Yacht Club, a beautiful place along the St. Lawrence, with lots of boats and gardens to paint, but a thunderstorm with torrential rain blew in just as we were getting started, and we had to retreat to the Clubhouse to dry out. Fortunately, we had taken photos before beginning to paint, and it was lovely to catch up over a picnic lunch inside, but that is the second time in a row that we have had to curtail our usual leisurely paint. Thanks, Solange, for taking photos early on!

TIFAA's plein air group had a great time in Colleen O'Connell's Garden of Hope in Maitland last Thursday. Unfortunately it was cut short. Although the sun shone brightly, there were tornado warnings for the afternoon and it seemed wise to head home while the weather was still good. Still, everyone took enough photos to finish their paintings at home and perhaps do more.
We were lucky with the weather. Although rain was forecast, no rain fell. The food was delicious and the company was great!
Fortunately, the smoke cleared enough yesterday that the plein air group was able to have a paint day in Joanne's beautiful garden overlooking the Lyn Creek.
The show at the Window Gallery, at Princess and Victoria Streets in Kingston, looks great. Congratulations to the hanging committee.
After two frustrating cancellations because of the winter weather, the Thursday painters were finally able to come together in person at the Community Hall in Mallorytown for a day's painting.
There was torrential rain, but we were able to paint in the shelter of The Barn in Rockport. And, as usual, Eric welcomed us with coffee and cookies, and served a delicious lunch. What a wonderful way to end the season. Thanks so much for organizing the plein air sessions for 2022, Helma.
Some TIFAA members enjoyed a painting knife workshop, organized by BAS, with Elsie Gallagher yesterday.
Just awesome! Congratulations to all the members who produced the art and worked so hard to display it so beautifully.
