Another lovely, relaxed paint-in at Mallorytown Community Centre. Barbara was there too, but left before I remembered to take photos - sorry, Barbara.

Today we hung a show in the Lobby Gallery of the Brockville Arts Centre. The show looks great thanks to Helma's skillful hanging. The Gallery is open during shows at the Arts Centre, and we hope to have a date soon for an evening public viewing - stay tuned. The show is on until 27 March.
The last plein air of the season was held at the wonderful Barn in Rockport, with a delicious lunch prepared by Erich. It was sunny and unexpectedly warm. Looking forward to next season already!
Well, this month's plein air meeting was quite literally a bit of a washout. We met at the Trident Yacht Club, a beautiful place along the St. Lawrence, with lots of boats and gardens to paint, but a thunderstorm with torrential rain blew in just as we were getting started, and we had to retreat to the Clubhouse to dry out. Fortunately, we had taken photos before beginning to paint, and it was lovely to catch up over a picnic lunch inside, but that is the second time in a row that we have had to curtail our usual leisurely paint. Thanks, Solange, for taking photos early on!
TIFAA's plein air group had a great time in Colleen O'Connell's Garden of Hope in Maitland last Thursday. Unfortunately it was cut short. Although the sun shone brightly, there were tornado warnings for the afternoon and it seemed wise to head home while the weather was still good. Still, everyone took enough photos to finish their paintings at home and perhaps do more.
