I am a person who loves variety. I like experimenting and working in watercolour, acrylic, oil, drawing media and mixed media. I tend toward detail and lean toward realism, though I hope to venture into the abstract and semi-abstract.The subject matter I choose mostly originates from what I see in the world around me. From childhood, I enjoyed art. As retirement in 2008 approached, I tried my hand at tole painting. From there, I began part time studies at St. Lawrence College, Brockville and since earned a certificate in fine art. The journey into art making has been incredibly pleasurable and fulfilling. I hope to continue to try working with new media, tools and techniques, enjoy the process and hopefully become a better artist. You can see my home studio in the photo on the left, and photos of my art below.
